This is but a small sampling of the many success stories at the clinic. Results are achieved by addressing the root cause of the dysfunction and not the dysfunction itself. It has been my greatest pleasure to be a part of their healing process. They continue to be my best teachers and a source of my inspiration. Names are omitted intentionally for privacy purposes and cases are paraphrased. However, patients often offer to share their experiences with other patients with certain illnesses and healing. Note: In light if the testimony it is important to know that as a naturopathic doctor I do not heal patients, I only provide the body with the tools it can use to heal itself.

Eczema
42 year old female with eczema on hands preventing patient from perusing a lifelong dream of baking school. Had eczema for a number of years and had been on heavy cortisone cream treatment with no results. Symptoms would go through periods of flare up from time to time and become dry, itchy with cracking skin.

10 month old infant with pustular eczema covering his face, arms and thighs had 100% improvement of symptoms after 2 weeks of naturopathic treatment focusing on drainage and immune balancing.

30 year old male with eczema on his hands, inner arm crease, behind knees and legs had 100% removal of symptoms after 1.5 months of treatment and noticed 50% reduction of symptoms within the first 2 weeks. The patient suffered with eczema for 3 years.

16 year old female competitive swimmer with cracking, itchy eczema on her face, arms and legs which was made worse with chlorine in the pool noticed changes within the first month of treatment and 6 months later is eczema free and continues swimming 4 times week.

Prostate Cancer
55 year old male with prostate cancer had the prostate surgically removed and had 2 rounds of chemotherapy. Prostate cancer returned 1 year later even with prostate removed. Patient was put on drugs which suppressed testosterone creating a wide range of side effects including depression (which he was also prescribed anti-depressants). Began naturopathic treatments focused on hormone modulation and detoxification. PSA values dropped dramatically over the past month and under doctor supervision the patient went off testosterone suppressing medication. Symptoms cleared and antidepressants were stopped. Patient is now drug and cancer free.

Infertility
Many cases of infertility are deemed "cases of unknown etiology" which means the exact cause is unknown even though all the anatomy seems to be in working order. Numerous cases of inability to conceive or to carry to full term, after having tried conventional fertility clinics to no avail, have successfully conceived and birthed healthy babies through a combination of Traditional Chinese Medicine approaches including acupuncture and targeted therapy at modulating the body environment to promote pregnancy.

34 year old woman with infertility for 4 years with a history of endometriosis was able to conceive within 1 year (endometriosis was treated first before conception could take place)

35 year old woman with 4 failed IVF procedures was able to conceive within 6 months

42 year old woman with infertility for over 20 years was able to conceive within 8 months

Irritable Bowel Syndrome
20 year old female, chronic and worsening IBS since age of 16 with painful diarrhea in the morning and urgency throughout the day which prevented her from going to school and working. Had tried conventional drugs and motility agents with no results. Naturopathic treatment focusing on diet, emotional counseling and detoxification lead to an absence of symptoms within 3 months.

25 year old female with constipation alternating with diarrhea was having 8 bowel movements a day with periods where she would not eliminate for 4 days. Intense gas and bloating caused a considerable amount of pain (8/10 intensity). Naturopathic treatment and acupuncture caused symptoms to be 50% improved after 2 sessions and completely disappeared within 2 months.

46 year old male executive would have to plan board meetings around his bowel movements due to extreme urgency. Urgency triggered panic attacks which caused anxiety and lead him down the road of anti-anxiety medication. Acupuncture combined with nutritional therapies that cleansed the bowel and balanced bowel neurological function caused 50% reduction in symptoms after 3 weeks and complete removal within 1 year.

38 year old female with intense bowel pain, gas, bloating and occasional blood in the stool was diagnosed with IBS 15 years ago but suffered with symptoms for over 30 years. One functional test concluded the sensitivity which removed caused 100% reduction in symptoms after 2 treatments. A healthy lifestyle and nutritional support program was followed as a maintenance plan.

High Blood Pressure
39 year old female with high blood pressure (160/95 compensated with medication) was treated allopathically with hypertension medications, aspirin, and water pills which failed to bring her pressure below the 160/95 mark. Medications also caused her considerable side effects. Her high blood pressure was diagnosed as "essential hypertension" which is high blood pressure of unknown origin. Naturopathic therapy focusing on nervous system and endocrine system function brought her blood pressure down to 124/72 (average of 3 readings over 3 different visits) within 2 visits (over a 1.5 month duration).

Heart Burn
41 year old male suffered with heartburn for 20 + years which was made worse with every meal. It got so bad in the evening that he would have to prop his bed on slant with bricks to prevent the acid reflux at night. He was taking Panteloc which failed to work and got slight relief from Nexium which he had to take 4 x day along with 10-20 Tums spread throughout the day just to be symptom free. Within 1 week of naturopathic treatment his symptoms improved 50% and 1 month later he is now symptom free.

Psoriasis
Adult acquired psoriasis covering whole body except face. Patient was given various rounds of cortisone treatment with no help. Lesions were large, red and inflamed. Treated with complementary therapies which dealt with the root cause of illness. The skin was never treated directly. Resulting with a 100% removal of symptoms and improved vitality.

A 27 year old female who suffered with psoriasis for 15 years on her scalp, hands, arms and abdomen noticed 25% improvement after the first month of naturopathic treatment. With more focus on mental emotional counseling and cleansing there was a 50% improvement within 2 months and 100% removal of symptoms over the next half year. All that remained for the last 4 months of treatment was a small coin sized lesion on her inner arm which eventually faded and disappeared.

Ulcerative Colitis
42 year old male, with over 9 bowel movements a day with bloody stool and urgency booked for surgery to remove the later descending colon as a last resort treatment for his chronic ulcerative condition. Dietary changes, supplementation and removal of food sensitivities (tested with functional assessment) resulted in 75% improvement in 3 months total remission in half a year with no surgery.

Insomnia
Combinations of lifestyle modification and naturopathic treatments that focus on the root can yield profound results. Many patients in the clinic have had improved sleep even if insomnia is not their primary reason for coming in but is part of their “symptom picture” The most profound case of insomnia I have ever treated is seen in the patient below:

51 year old female who came to the clinic claiming that “I have never had a good night sleep for as long as I can remember”  with problems getting to and staying asleep for over 40 years. Medications and sleeping aids failed to work well and if she did sleep it would still be broken and she would wake un-rested. Out of desperation she almost overdosed on sleeping medications which caused her doctor to prescribe antidepressant medications. She would sleep about 1-3 hours of broken sleep every night which took its toll on her health causing a considerable amount of symptoms. After the first week of her treatment program she noticed that she could get to sleep easier and would only wake 3 times a night. 1 month later she was waking once a night and was able to get to sleep within 5 minutes. 3 months later she was able to sleep through the whole night until morning.

Asthma
14 year old boy suffered with chronic asthma since childhood would cause him considerable discomfort and wheezing during hockey games and practice. He as on Beclovent, Ventonin and Flovent with little results in preventing the asthma attacks from occurring but did help when he was suffering an acute asthma attack. He would suffer with 3-4 attacks per week which were worse during sports and stress. Between the first and second visit (3 weeks) there was a 90% reduction in symptoms and the patient was able to go off of his medications. 2 months later and he is asthma free. The coaches and other parents commented on how much of an improvement he had had in his game performance.

Migraine Headaches
19 year old female with daily intake of pain medication to manage her headaches noticed 100% improvement after the first treatment following a naturopathic protocol addressing the root of her headaches.

47 year old female who suffered with migraine headaches almost daily causing considerable nausea and vomiting. She was taking pain killing medication over 6 times a day so she cold “just survive through it”. After beginning naturopathic care shenoticed a 50% reduction in symptoms after the second visit and 3 months later is now down to just 1 mild headache every few months. 

42 year old male suffering with low grade headaches every day for the past 20 years and migraine headaches 2 times a week had what he determined to be “significant improvement.” After a few sessions of neuromuscular release and naturopathic treatments focusing on his nutritional deficiencies. 

30 year old female who suffered with migraines since a child got progressively worse since she began menstruating. She would have debilitating head pain for 1 week every month which was during her period. The birth control made the headaches worse so she stopped that after 1 year. Naturopathic treatments focused on balancing her hormones, regulating her cycle and supporting her body. After 5 months she is headache free  

A 31 year old female would get auras followed with digestive issues (pain, diarrhea and indigestion) and migraine headaches for 10 years. Naturopathic treatments focused on her digestive issues first (which preceded the migraines) causing a complete elimination of symptoms (digestive and migraine) within 3 visits. The auras continued for another month and now are completely gone.

Chronic Immune Issues
18 year old female with chronic antibiotic use for coughs and bronchitis had her first winter without illness in 17 years after a naturopathic immune building protocol.

3 year old male with chronic ear infections (4-6 times a year) and repeated antibiotic therapy had his first 6 months without ear infection after beginning a treatment program which removed food sensitivities and addressed the root of immune dysfunction.

8 month old infant with chronic chest congestion and extreme irritability was congestion free after dietary modification and drainage therapies.

49 year old male with a chronic cough (lasting 25 years) and lung / sinus congestion with for 15 years became phlegm free with clear sinuses after 5 months of treatment.

22 year old female with a history of infections and strep throat was never well since a bout of mononucleosis when she was a child. Chronic throat infections did not go away even after her tonsils were removed. She would get sick about 8 times a year and missed so much school she had to redo a year in her University program. Antibiotics failed to treat her issue giving her slight reprieve only to have symptoms return within a few weeks or a month. After she began naturopathic treatment she had gotten one more bout of strep throat which cleared within 3 days instead of 3 weeks and is now infection free for over 2 years (to the time of this summary)

Sinus Issues
56 year old male, had been on prescription Reactin and Claritin for many years for his decades long chronic sinusitis and congestion. Within 1.5 months of following a naturopathic program, took him off the medication and no longer has any of the symptoms.

44 year old female with a 10 year history of antibiotics and chronic use Nasonex use suffered with debilitating sinus headaches and infections along with chronic nose bleeds (made worse from the corticosteroids in the Nasonex which thins mucous membrane tissue) had described herself as being “chronically infected since childhood”. Within 2 visits the sinus congestion was completely eliminated and she has not suffered a sinus infection since. After 6 months the chronic nose bleeds subsided and she does not feel “boggy in the head anymore”  The patient was able to take herself off the Nasonex and does not require antibiotic therapy anymore.

Yeast / Candida Issues
A 46 year old with chronic yeast infections lasting over 25 years of her life had a 50% reduction in symptoms after the first month of treatment and is now yeast free after 4 months of naturopathic therapy targeted at the environment in the body that allowed the yeast to flourish in the first place.

A 25 year old with intense discomfort and discharge had been on over the counter suppositories and Diflucin for 4 years with symptoms returning within weeks after treatment. After beginning naturopathic treatment she was went her first month without any infection and continues to be yeast free.

Menstrual Issues
Combinations of acupuncture and other naturopathic treatments result in a great reduction of menstrual pain and other premenstrual symptoms.

21 year old with intense menstrual pain radiating down her thighs and around her back causing her to bend over and hug a water bottle for 1 week a month was put on birth control pill by her medical doctor to regulate her cycle. The pain was lessened and the symptoms improved however the patient began to gain a considerable amount of weight, became fatigued and developed headaches. After 1 month of naturopathic treatment her menstruation became more regulated and the birth control was stopped. Continued treatment focused on cleansing her body resulted in her headaches disappearing and the weight came off. She is now having a pain free menses without the use of drugs and no side effects

39 year old who had menstrual cramps so severe (intensity of 8/10 which lasted all day) she was “completely debilitated for 2 weeks a month” noticed a 50% reduction in symptoms within her first 1 cycle and 80% reduction after 3 more cycles. She is now completely pain free.

31 year old with intense moodiness (irritability, anger and sadness) with a considerable amount of bloating and water retention around her menstruation had 100% reduction in symptoms after 1 month of treatment

Breast Cancer
40 year old with breast cancer was treated with chemotherapy and acupuncture along with some supplementation. Achieved successful outcome without normal accompanying side effects of therapy which include hair loss, fatigue, nausea, etc.

Weight Management
Combinations of First Line Therapy which is a lifestyle modification program and naturopathic supplementation to support body function can yield profound results. Many patients in the clinic have lost a considerable amount of body fat and have retained muscle mass throughout their individual programs, however, the most profound change of all is seen in the patient below:

42 year old female who weighed around 233 pounds on the first visit with a body fat percentage of 58% began the First Line Therapy program at the clinic along with nutritional and supplementation. The patient stated that she “had never exercised a day in her life”.

- Within 1 week the patient was walking around the block stopping 5 times
- Within 2 weeks the patient was walking around the block without stopping.
- Within 3 months the patient was walking for 30 minutes continuously
- Within 5 months the patient was able to jog for 30 minutes continuously
- Within 8 months the patient was able to jog for 45 minutes continuously
- Within 10 months the patient was able to jog for 60 minutes continuously

Since beginning the program the patient has lost a total of 95 pounds and has 28.5% body fat. She is also training for her first a half marathon at 44 years of age with the hopes of someday competing in the Boston Marathon.

Chronic Joint / Muscle Pain

49 year old male with chronic back pain (lasting 15 years) which would shoot down his right leg and up his back (intensity of 9/10) causing him to stop and lay down had 100% removal of symptoms after 3 treatments

46 year old female with chronic neck stiffness and pain due to scar tissue deposition following a motor vehicle accident was able to get full range of movement in her neck and 90% relief of symptoms after 2 treatments. Continued maintenance treatment was done for 4 months for 100% relief of pain.

36 year old male with back pain following a lifting accident at work was unable to work for 2 years and plagued with chronic back pain which woke him up at night. Even simple exercises would aggravate his condition causing him to become fearful of any physical activity and exercise. After 8 treatments over 2 months the pain was gone. Dietary and nutritional programs and exercises were put in place to ensure re-injury would not occur.

33 year old male who had been on disability from injury and in chronic pain with painkillers for over 8 years. After several sessions is virtually pain free and regaining mobility.

Vertigo / Dizziness
45 year old patient with chronic dizziness and vertigo was on medications which did not work and suffered with insomnia and depression. After prescribed antidepressants her symptoms got progressively worse. Treatment with acupuncture and naturopathic therapies resulted in 100% removal of vertigo and dizziness and the patient was able to go off of antidepressants under her doctor’s supervision.

Multiple Chemical Sensitivity
42 year old female suffering with severe MCS with allergic and digestive symptoms for 20 years was treated with detoxification therapy and nutritional support. After 2 months of treatment she is now completely symptom free.

35 year old female who would get neuralgia pains when exposed to strong odors, cleaners or cigarette smoke was scared to leave her home for fear of aggravation. After 3 visits which focused on detoxifying her body, strengthening her immune system and replacing deficiencies she was able to go to the mall and even walk through the perfume section without aggravation.
